Default trunk dent

Someone hit and ran me and now theres this huge ugly dent in my trunk. Because it is so hard to find sedan trunks at a reasonable price right now, I was thinking about trying to pound the dent out a little bit because it is such an eye sore. However, behind the trunk is a protective metal casing. Is there a way to take this off? Thanks for your help.

how does the dent look? is it just pushed in or are there creases? if its pretty minor and just a bit pushed in, then a dent puller can mend it.

the ribbing on the underside of the trunk is seal and/or spot welded on, so it would be hard to remove

you best option is to try a dent puller and then use some body filler to get it perfect and re-paint it. Or search for a JDM DB8 trunk lid, ive seen a few floating around on here recently
