Is this true or not?
is it try that with a good head and some good mods to it that if the valves, springs and retainers are replaced that a 10k redline is very possible(saying ur fuel system is updated and tuned to happen it)???
PS-is anyone familiar w/ Bull Frogs Race Package (head kit) for the GSR's? I talked to them on the phone, just need some opinions, if any.
thanx,

i want to get the bullfrog head package for my gsr as well..but i just dont have the funds....I used to know a guy who had the head on his gsr eg coupe... that car railed!!! Kicked major *** on the street!!!! IM me some details about it and how much w/ core exchange and such, if any.
my friend also had em on his civic and its quick . their cams are regrinds though.
if you just want cams , they have a core charge. and what not
you also gotta have an ecu that will let you rev that high. i think that was missing from your post. but its very possible.

I had the Gude head package on my 95 B18B del Sol. It was a good initial package that gave me 51 hp & 31 tq at the flywheel with some fuel tuning. Their ECU mods are pretty good as well.
Now for the problems: 1)Cams are regrinds not ground from billet cores. Gave me all sorts of idle problems and won't last as long as billets.
2)Gude's big horsepower secret: Mill the crap out of the head. My B18B head was milled .040-.060-enough to give me 10.8:1 compression according to Gude. That's ok if you have a fresh bottom end. I ended up using 1 qt of oil per 1000 miles after about 10,000 miles.
3)Crappy customer service. Another problem with Gude is with your cores. Have fun getting your core refund! Alot of "warped/cracked" cores seem to arrive at Gude's doorstep.
The head package is a decent, inexpensive way to get horsepower. But if your bottom end has any miles on it, the milled head isn't the way to go. There are alot of better quality cams out there: Crower, Crane for B18B; Crower, Crane, Toda, Jun, Skunk2 for B18C's.
Keep in mind that this was the B18B head package, not the B18C.
