Troubleshooting Fuel Pump Issues
Hi all,
Im trying to get my build fired up but have been stumped for several days on fuel pump issues. The car will not prime when cranking or when IGN is on. This is on a 1996 Integra.
I have done the following:
Tested for 12V at pump connector during priming - no power
Tested ground continuity at pump connector - OK
Replaced PGM-FI main relay TWICE
During priming I do not get 12V at pin #7 (yellow/green) on PGM-FI
I do have 12V at pin #5 (black/yellow wires) on PGM-FI
Jumping pin #5 and #7 on PGM-FI will turn the pump on.
I do NOT have 12v at #4 yellow/green on ECU when ignition is on.
Plugged in a different OBD1 ECU, pump still won’t turn on.
I have checked and replaced under dash and under good fuses. All good.
I even hooked up the OEM oil pressure sensor. My Haynes manual mentioned it can cut fuel when no oil pressure is sensed.
I did install a Wireworx engine harness, OBD2A to OBD1 conversion. Dash harness is still OBD2.
How else can I trace this issue? Thanks ahead of time!

Solved! Wireworx sold me a harness that was incorrectly pinned at the ECU. What a nightmare to track down. Fuel pump now primes after re-pinning the whole harness. Yikes.
