Trouble reading ABS Code

Hi Everyone,
First, I'll describe how the ABS code came on since that might indicate where the problem lies. I was driving in the rain, I pushed gently on the brake pedal, and I could feel the ABS working for a solid 2 seconds or so with no slowing down of my car at all. After the ABS quit doing its thing, it stopped, the ABS light came on, and normal braking force came back. It was raining, but I guarantee the ABS should not have come on. I was barely braking, and the road wasn't very slippery.
Now here's my problem in diagnosing it: If I turn the car off and on again, the light is no longer on. It comes back on as soon as I start moving faster than about 5mph. I jumpered the wire to get the code from the blinking light, but it doesn't work. The light just stays on solid.
I'm looking for advice on what the problem might be or if you don't know that, then just how to properly diagnose it.
Thanks!

The problem your running into is when you jumper the brown to black wire it will flash ecu codes, not abs codes. One of my freinds is haveing the same problem with his 95' gsr, we are both in collage for automotives so we took it into to diagnose the problem. What we belive needs to be done is a jumper with a certain ohms of resistance to trigger the abs to flash codes. We are still in the process of trying to find out what possible amount of resistance is needed to trigger the abs to flash codes. Our problem is that we use Alldata for vehical repair info and it shows to jumper it but we know a regular paper clip jumper is for the Ecu.

I was using this as a guide - http://www.team-integra.net/sections...?ArticleID=493 which just shows a paperclip. Obviously it's not working for me though so you're probably right.
This thread also shows to just jumper it - https://honda-tech.com/forums/showth...ight=abs+light
