could be a few things..

the first thing is, honda transmissions do not have synchros for the reverse gear.. usually it helps to "trick" the transmission into "thinking" reverse has synchros by putting the shifter into first gear and then quickly and smoothly shifting to reverse.
(at a dead stop) please dont do this while moving..

but, if this does not solve the case.. as it may not, i would check your slave cylinder for leakage, your master cylinder for leakage, and if it boils down to it.. maybe you could get a new clutch.. but you would sense the need for a new clutch with other gears as well, both while moving and at a stop.. more so on the move.

check your clutch slave and master cylinders first.. check around your clutch pedal for fluid inside the car as well.. good luck

If it doesn't go into reverse when ur car is on and only on then it's probly clutch related, but if it still doesn't go into reverse even when car is off probly not the clutch. Try what LSRracing95 said.

what I do is if I'm already going forward I will slow down to a point of almost stopped but with the car at a slight roll and then put it in reverse. It always works for me and I never grind.

No I'm totally serious. Whenever my cars at a dead stop and I just try reverse it wont go, so I put in fourth then reverse and that always works, and you can't bag on the rolling technique intill you've tried it. And when I say slight roll I mean 1 mph which doesn't regester on the speedometer but is just my best guestimate. And seinfeld dont got **** on me.lol
