i have 94 gsr turbo, the engine has been rebuilt with all the proper internals and an RPS clutch, i am now pushing a little over 370hp however even befor my recient tune i have noticed that it has been very hard to shift into gear, i will often have to stop and let the car set in neutral for a second then it will go into gear i do have a short shifter and am planing to replace it with a stock one. please help
honda syncro's are ****, Take time in between shifts and that can help, but the syncro's need time thats why alot of guys wont buy short shifter. Try chagning your tranny oil or getting some gm syncromesh,
Does it grind at all?

yup even fresh Honda MTF is better than old whatever, but if you must then try GM synchromesh regular. the short shifter isn't the root of the problems, at least it's not likely. if you have a hella clutch (370whp you'd better) and a light flywheel the shortshifter is probably a good idea.
when you're sitting not moving engine on, does it go into gear smoothly?
what about if you're upshifting at 3k rpm?
what about at 7k rpm?
does the shifting at 3k and 7k get better if you revmatch? (assuming you're somewhat skilled at this)
report back with answers and note if one gear operates differently than the rest in these tests.
