Trans help please!!!
I just bought a 90 integra for $800. It has an automatic trans in it. I am not lokking to race it or drive it like I do my other cars. Just a daily driver for either me or my fiance'. It is really her car.
When we put it in drive it is in 3rd gear when trying to take off from a stand still. When we put the gear shift all the way back in second it starts off in second as it should. It may just be the trans but maybe just something as simple as the cable.
Also, when you first attempt to take it out of park it is hard as if it is in a bind. It is raining outside so I can't go see if the cable is frayed or anything. When putting it back in park it does the same thing, tough to get in park.
Could the TCM be acting up?
The trans isn't slipping in the gears that it does go in.
None of the lights are flashing or anything on the dash either.
If anyone can help me, please do!!

I was just thinking about something I saw in http://www.g2ic.com. They were trying see if it was possible to use switches to be able to control how long to hold first gear and even the rest of the gears, doing away with the TCM. Anyway, they broke down what the two shift solenoids do, how they work.
First gear = solenoid A
Second gear = both A and B
Third gear = solenoid B
Fourth gear = no solenoids
So I am thinking that when I put the car in D or S3 an taking off in third gear, yet when I put the shifter in second gear position it does go in second, solenoid A must not be getting a signal when in D or S3. But it does in D2. I haven't confirmed this yet.
Can anyone add to this?
Anybody!?!?
