tranny problems???
I just recently bought a DC4 and sometimes when I'm at a red light and it turns green, I try to go into gear but it won't let me and I start to freak out. When I frantically jerk it around (no sexual innuendo) then it'll go into 1st and everything's normal again.
Also, going into gears is difficult, when I go from 1st to 2nd, I pull the shift **** into 2nd but takes 2-3 seconds for it to go into gear. Are my synchros going bad? Some help please! Thanks in advanced

i remeber a friend who had same problem, i opened up his tranny and found the shift forks cracked, his was grinding and not going into gear nicely, so you might just wanna open it up and find out
Depending on how mechanically incline you are, you can do it yourself. Or take it to a shop.
You could also purchase a used tranny. I would only do this if you know the seller or are atleast able to drive the car with the tranny in just to test it out. Ive seen a few people get shafted with a messed up tranny (syncros & bearings) when purchasing a used tranny.
If you can afford a new tranny and don't want to deal with the hassels then a new tranny isn't such a bad idea. A new ITR tranny would be nice.
