tranny problems

tranny problems
My second gear is grinding, im pretty sure its the synchros. Where do you guys reccomend i get the tranny rebuilt? How about AAMCO? this **** is pretty expansive its like $1000 just for labor. and also can i still drive, im just shifting from first to third?

You also run the risk of picking up a crappy tranny though.
A few that come to mind are;

You could do it yourself, just grab a helms, and a gear puller, and a torch helps as well. The money you save by doing it yourself will allow you to get carbon coated syncros, 4.7 or 4.9 final drive, or just pocket the cash.
