tranny help
I heated the transmission housing to ease the entry of the differential bearing. For the shafts and shift rods, you just need to wiggle. Check that the snap ring on the counter shaft is spread as well. Make sure that part 11 on the mainshaft is aligned with the slot.

How close are you getting the cases?

You're referring to the snap ring (part 12).

Most critically, test sping the input shaft for all gears before reinstalling the transmission.

When the Diff. Bearing just about the hit the hole.
Seem like it's hit something on top. It's not the bearing clamp Ring on top.
might be the long rod or reverse... Will try again tomorrow

I stuck my hand between the cases and wiggled the shift rods to achieve alignment. It just takes a little patience and persistence.

You start the snap ring before the cases are totally together.

Could someone tell me which is which gear?
So I could understand what gear is what.
I haven't try to put on the tranny yet...
thinking about swapping b16 3rd and 4th gear in to the ls...
But don't know what gear is what because of two shaft.
