Default Tranny Experts!!! HELP!

Okay, I'm about to buy my friends broke LS tranny. I'm wondering if it's worth it to buy it. He broke it at the track. 94 LS trannsmission with 70k miles on it. He lunched, moved 5 feet car stopped revs shoot up didnt move anywhere fluid leaked everywhere and couldn;t move the shift ****. He said there is a crack from the shift linkage all the way to the drain plug. He hasn't opened it up yet or anything. Think this is an easy fix? Maybe just replace the casing? I need it bad, and he's gonna let it go cheap.

Keep looking bro.. I have a pal who has been down this road. Save yourself the nights of kicking the sheetrock out of your garage walls - buy a known good tranny.
