Tranny Gone!!!????
Ok i drive a 93 hatch w/ lsvtec swap w/ a ls tranny. The other day i went for a drive and i go to shift from second to third and no go. The tranny felt like i was hitting a plate. The shifter rotates in the boot. It feels like its going in to 2nd but the you can move the shifter around in a circle. I checked the fluid level, it's good. Then i got under it and checked the shift linkage, and that was fine. My car is imobile and i really need to get going. I think the shift forks inside are gone or the hubs. Can someone give me their opinion please. Thanks in advance!!!!

Lol with my turbo First and Second gear are useless on the street because of no traction. With a b16 tranny 3rd would probably be useless too lmao.
You probably need another LS tranny

Common mistake is that because gears are longer with the ls tranny that it will be better for boost. When in fact the gsr tranny even with shorter gears is much quicker. I have a gsr tranny with boost..

uhh your trans is probably fine. Check your shift linkage pin. The pin is underneath a boot, so you cant see if it fell out. I've had a pin fall out once. Vurry annoying, but an easy, sleazy fix. Also, check the bushings in the linkage, and not just the linkage itself. I mean it could be a broken transmission, but make sure you go over everything first.

I understand what your saying, all im saying is that with shorter gears I would probably loose traction in 3rd. If i was at teh track with some slicks, GSR tranny would be awesome, but for the street, i dont feel a big need for it. Just my opinion.
"Yeah, its nice. But low gears are kind of annoying to tell you the truth. Spinning But freeway speed is nice. I rarely drive it hard but i cant wait for the strip to open up this spring" lol that was you.. Another mistake people do is use SSautocrome manifolds lmfao jk jk

Re: (LSVTECEG757)
good pick but if you going to be doing alot of highway driving i would maybe think about putting a ls 5th gear in. but if your not dont worry about it..
