tranny conversion in DA
If this is your first time i would recommend a friend at least that knows some about it or u can get follow a book manual i guess.
If i remember right back then when i used to do it the very first time it too me about 6-8 hrs and this is pretty much by myself only time i need someone is to hold the tranny as it comes down or when i put it back.
6-8hrs is taking it slow and be patient and not overlooking screws and what not.
Now a days i can do it in 4.5 hrs why? becoz i have all the needed tools and everything in hand lol..
i would say on average out of 10 being hardest
would be 5/10 it doesnt require alot but u must have all the right socket and tools for the job. thats about it....

i have plenty of tools i work for toyota and have done motors and trans i heard i have 2 weld in a new tranny motor being that the manual and auto have different mounts or postitions
You are right...
The mount bracket sits lower and i think right its a tad bit to the side.
Have to try http://www.g2ic.com people have also done this conversion also and there might be a write up about it.
