what tranny are you planning on using i am in the orocess of puting a 93 gsr tranny in my 92 rs ive rebuilt the motor with type r pistons balanced rotating assy ported head lightened flywheel and basic bolt ons its pretty fast but i wanted the shorter gears of the vtec tranny the only problem i can forsee is worse gas mileage and with the stock 7200 redline the shift points will come up REAL fast but with the hondata system i can safely rev to 8000-8500 at 8000 the top speed of the car is only 142 but you will get there much quicker you can also use the jdm b16 tranny and it has lsd but a little taller gears (still better than the LS ratios) the b17 tranny has the shortest ratios of any b series tranny that i know of and its got the cable clutch the hardest part is finding 1 and the one i found is $950 but if you can find one/afford one go for it

Or you can pick up a 98 spec ITR box and hydro conversion for about 12-1400

4.78 FD light flywheel better clutch and LSD are usually all inclusive
