whats the point in adding the extra large tow hooks?? is it like a jdm fad??

or do ppl like it when their cars get towed away??

 

well think about put some thought to it. if you are an avid racer like myself and you go to the track and you brake an axle launching off the line and they come to tow my vehicle they can just hook it up to the tow hook rather than rap it around the radiator support or lower control arm. they can tow it from where it is supposed to be towed.. but mine is functional it is not just for show like on some vehicles

 

most of us drive lowered cars or have carbon fiber front lips or aftermarket bumpers and intercoolers that we care about and have you ever seen the factory tow hook? it makes life alot easier for the tow truck driver to hook up and it will def. save you from screwing things up

ooohhhhh ok... well ya'll should build your cars so it doesnt braek down in the first place!! haha naw im jk.. thx that clears it up for me!

oh and yea i've seen it and its small as hell and tucked way the hell away from the bumper

 

I had them on my car,yes they are a fad but theyre functional...although i would have KILLED a tow truck driver if he ever wrapped a chain around my benens!

 

if your car is low..you dont want the tower to ruin the bumper being pulled from the factory hook cause the chain will extract and be at a diagonal, its functional to have those big hooks in the front/back. and it gives it a nice look. IMO

The most obvious point of a tow hook is to indeed be used as a tow point. It is also a JDM fad, but again has function as well for those that actually see track time.
