Default Torque specifications needed.

I am lowering my car on friday. I ordered the repair manual but it won't be in in time. Can someone tell me the correct torque specs for all the bolts that I will be removing. I believe there are 2 on the bottom and 2 on the top for each strut. Thanks for your help.

front damper to shock tower (2 bolts per side)-36 ft/lb
Central nut on to of front damper (one per side)-22 ft/lb
front damper to shock fork (one per side)-32ft/lb
front shock fork to LCA (one per side)-47 ft/lb

Rear damper to shock tower (2 bolts per side)-36 ft/lb
Central nut on top of rear damper (one per side)-22 ft/lb
Rear damper to LCA (one per side)-40 ft/lb

If you are disassembling your shocks to put on lowering springs, don't forget to use a spring compressor of some sort or you will get a VERY unpleasant surprise when you loosen that 22 ft/lb nut. You should be able to rent a spring compressor at your local checker or equivalent auto parts store. If you need any more specs just post or IM me. HTH.

You dont' necessarily have to get a spring compressor to remove the stock spring. Just unscrew the top of the strut until it looks like it's close to coming off. Then get a pretty thick piece of carpet and put that over the strut. Use your two feet to hold the carpet pretty tight against the strut and put like a bucket in front of the strut to catch the screw and washers that pop off. Just slowly turn the bolt and it'll pop off. There's actually not that much force that compresses the spring.

My friends and I have done this many times of lots of different cars. Saves a hell of a lot of time.
