My 1996 integra SE tops out at 160 kilometers. its also an automatic.

Is that average for my car?

 

125 <U>mph</U> in my 96 Manual SE...on the stock B18B with about 120K miles and alot of highway, with a slight downgrade (engine dynoed at 121HP with major falloff at 5400 rpms, which I'm sure is why it's stopped going faster)

 

125 mph? Isn't that around like 200 kilometers? Why is my integra topping out only at 160 then? What should I do to get the full potential out of it?

When I reach 160 kilometers, it just stalls at that exact speed. Car won't go faster, it's in drive4 and the RPM's just rest at like 4000 and won't move and I'll be at 160 kilometers for as long as I want to be.

 

Sounds like more of a gearing issue with the auto tranny. If you are topping out... the rev limiter should stop you.

 

i did 195 kph in my manual 1500cc VTEC (japanese D15B) and that was on a short road . never really pushed it much otherwise .

I am doin a B20-vtec swap now tho with hondata 4 so i figure it eclipse 195 kph when i'm done .

 

Still not helping me..... lol. what should I do or is it normal for my non-vtec integra to top out at 160 kilometers at 4000 rpm...
