so i went down to the tire place today to have a nail removed, the hole sealed, and the tire balanced. Well, they did it all for free but when i got home and went to put the tire back on i noticed the old weights were still there. So i went for a test drive anyway. Over 50mph was dangerous!!! So i drove to the tire place and they were like, oh oops. Then they took forever to balance the wheel and they said they had to put 5.5 oz of weights on to do it!!! It drives okay now, but should i go somewhere else?

 

What kind of balancer did they use? 5.5 is a lot...did they use 5.5 total or 5.5 on each mount point though? 5.5 total is 2.75 at each point which isn't *too* bad...but yeah I'd say check it out somewhere else. It may be another $10 or so but it'll be worth it.

those SOB's, it's PER side!!! is that gonna cause any damage? I need new tires in about 5k, think it'll be cool till then?
