95 Gsr cranks doesnt start
Alright the other day I came out of work and started my 95 Integra Gsr sedan and it fired right up and shut right back off. It cranked but did not start. While I was stuck at work I had the gf bring a spare main relay I had to try that and no luck. Then I went home and pulled my dizzy off of my b16 civic coupe and tried that with no luck. I just got it home today and checked for spark and fuel. I have fuel but no spark. Well I know that dizzy off the coupe is good so I was confused. Checked the timing belt and its a little loose but nothing crazy. Had my buddy crank it over while looking at the timing belt and the crank is spinning and the alternator belt is spinning BUT the TIMING BELT IS NOT SPINNING.
Plan on changing the timing belt tomorrow but im curious if the tensioner could also be part of the problem? Also I had been cranking it over quite a lot and am wondering if I might have bent a few valves?? how likely do you think this is?

will the bottomend turn by hand "with a 1/2 drive strong am"? might wanna drain the oil to see if there is any metal shavings in there. that would be the next steps. make sure this not locked up.

sounds like the belt might be missing teeth, and it started and ran until the timing belt hit the patch where there are no teeth, hence why crank spins and belt does not.

ya thats what I figured even though the timing belt looks good as far as i can see. Im just wondering if it might also be a faulty/seized tensioner

Re: 95 Gsr cranks doesnt start
I have had a few timing belts brake on b series motors and only one of them bent valves. all the other ones luckly were ok. I say throw a belt and tensioner at it. I would be silly to not replaced the tensioner even if it looks good. You might want to go ahead and change the water pump and the front crank and cam seals while youre in there. good luck either way
