Default throttle problem

hello... i have a 96 acura integra gsr that i got like 3 months ago ... this last month i've been having problem with the car ... one day i was driving it and i noticed a change in the exhaust sound.. it sound like it had a hole on it but i didnt let it get to me... the the next day i noticed that when i was trying to launch around 2000 to 3000 rpm the car was loosing power like it wasnt breathing right... so i asked a friend and he told me that it was the tps so i changed the tps and also changed the spark plugs and air filter... so after that it was still doing the same thing it is hard to explain, its like the car is choking when its in low rpm and it bounces around like its powerless and then out of no where the power kicks in so i dont know whats up with it let me know what you guys think...

Default Re: throttle problem

ok so i had a similar problem and this is what i did ....
at first i thought it was the dizzy ... which it turned out not to be ...
secondly this fixed my stumble \ hesitation upon start from stop i recently put a header on and read my o2 sensor may not be getting hot enough since i had to relocate it to right before the cat ... so i took a obd2 o2 sensor which has a self heating element and hardwaired it into my obd0 setup " since its 4 wires" it seemd to get rid of the stumble ..
i also ... just found my main power loss .. was one of the vacumn hoses was mixed up from my purge cut off solenoid .. look at the vacumn diagram under the hood and make sure all ur vacumns are hooked up proper "one of the lines may have slipped off .. "
another thing maybe clean your IACV and FITV theres plenty of writeups and its pretty much a free simple fix for even a noob
and if all else fails ... then finally fork out the cash for a new o2 sensor since your car just started doing this ... then a stock original o2 sensor should be fine i beleive the 96 is obd2 anyways ... PS: sometimes an o2 sensor can be bad without throwing a code or check engine light
hope that helps out and its a start anyways ... try cleaning what i mentioned before putting out any cash for replacing parts
