Default For those with HID:

Which kit do you have? How do you like it? Post pics if you want.

Wondering:
Will 5000k's be noticeably brighter then 6000k's?

PS. If you post a pic.. tell which kelvin rating they are.

As mentioned in many posts before, anything higher than 4300k you'll lose brightness. 6000K gets a big in my book. The 6000K purple colour is nowhere as crisp as the 4300K.
The brightness you see in your car comparing to the Benz next to you is just "hot spots". Notice the nice light spread from the Benz's OEM HID's and the area it's covering. Meanwhile, most of your light is just a big blob on the ground.
Try to find a couple more OEM HID equipped cars and do a comparison and you'll see what I mean.

Good point. The Teg lights seem brighter, but the beam pattern on the Benz is better (seeing how it covers a lot more area evenly). Anyhow, it still looks good though.

k2 makes the k2 kit. Its on ebay.

You can get 6000k kits in different colors, crystal white is the one you see above.

about the pic with the benz.

the beam pattern can be altered in any vehicle. the integra was just put in with no adjustments. now adjusted the beam pattern is about 2x as wide as the benz, and about 4x as bright.

I have seen philips, K2, Hella, and stock hid. The K2 Crystal white kit is by fat the best and is easy to install

on a more serious note...
to you repeating incorrect information...

anything above 4600k and you lose light. anything below it and you still lose light. if you want to be super **** about things, 4800k is "brighter" than 4300k...

I got philips 4300 kit... all philips components... its the best stuff out there...

All HID kits that dont have autp leveling systems in the US are illigal, just an FYI.
The higher advertised numbers like 8200K and stuff like that is just a gimmick to get your money. the ammount of useful light that they put out on the road is less than a 4300K bulb.

no, i don't have the hid housing, and as a result my beam of light is slightly broken when it projects.

you need to watch the kind of 6000k bulbs you have.

k2/Eaglite/showoff = CRAP.

purple like barney and in the pic comparison with the benz the integra lights are aimed much higher. it also is not a blanket of light, but 2 hot spots.

osram bulbs i like a lot better (they are like the benz color output in the pic). very high quality and to you philip ultinon ******, you know philip bulbs are very blue...
