Third brake light question
Anyone know where I can (pref. from another car??) pick up the bulb sockets needed to make my third brake light work?
Think is that I have a JDM sir-g and like most people I removed the stupid OEM spoiler to go for the type r one and now I need a third brake light. However though, on the JDM cars they already have the housing there, the one with the green integra lettering, and now I just need the sockets for the bulbs to make it work.
Shouldnt be really hard once I have the socket since I can splice into the original spoiler wire just that I need the socket. Anyone know where I can get one? like say a third brake light from an eg or turn signal from an ef or something? Tried looking at some eg ferio brake lights today from a junkyard but it seemed too big

I know for a fact that the Honda/ Acura dealer sells the USDM third brake light housing w/ sockets. Your best luck is to buy a used one from a junkyard prefb. from an LS DC integra they usally sell these types of sockects with the light housing. But you might lucky. The DA socket might fit aswell.
OK I picked up the sockets and bulb needed from a dismantler today. Thing is with my car the housing was already there but for some reason honda left out the sockets and bulb needed for them to work
Picked it up and installed it today and now it works all good.
Oh and for people thats spending big bucks for the "JDM" version with the integra letter in green dont. I tried it before and the letterings arent actually transparent so they block out like 95% if the light with only a little coming through the edges. Had to peel it off so that actual light can get through and for it to serve as a third brake light.

haha! I actullaly like the JDM 3rd brake light with the green lettering. It's an option in Japan and is very rare here in the US. But then again I have two 3rd brake lights one US in RED and the JDM lettered one. You should have just purchased an extra US housed one with the RED because I know you could have sold the JDM verision for $$$$ more. But only if you did'nt peel it off...
Worth heaps? really? How much
...
Its basically just a sticker bro, I peeled it off but basically can be stuck back on. The region I live in, those a cheap as chips therefore if I ever need another one they're easy to obtain
