Default TEST RUN?????

my buddy just swapped his integra....and has all his fluids in except hes only got 1 qt of trans fluid. he wants to know if he would be able to test drive this car around his nborhood on 1 qt....he would go buy some but his pops is bringing some for free this evening. he just got done with this about 30 min. ago...so he is real anxious to give it a test run. but does not want anything to **** up.

he'll be fine if it's just around the block. shoot you can even drag race with it (just kidding on this part).

but yeah, you should be fine. just don't miss shift. and im pretty sure the b series tranny only holds a little over 2 quarts, or at least that's the recommended amount.

2.5 quarts for the trans.

Just tell him to wait, not like the car is going anywhere.

i've had several b series trans and i've never gotten one to hold 2.5 qt's as recommended, always takes 2.2

so your buddy wants to risk trashing his tranny just so he can drive the car a few hours sooner? sounds like an awesome idea to me!

Thats what i was thinking. There's no sense in rushing when there's so much on the line. Get another quart and a half of trans fluid, fill it, then drive wherever you want. Think about it this way...you wouldn't go drive around if you had 1 of 3 motor mounts in JUST because you were impatient. I dont see how this is any different...

this brought to mind something. you do know 10w-30 motor oil is an option, right?

Yeah, I was gonna say the 10w 30 too. Why not just wait and make sure the engine is running good and do a compression check just for the hell of it
