I bought the hytech longtube replicas the other day and i thought i just needed a test pipe like the one shown in the link below and it would fit. Maybe just by taking out the middle fitting... but even though it is still waaaay to long!! anybody know what to do? or did i just get the wrong test pipe?

i was under the impression hytechs deleted the need for a cat/testpipe cause they are so long. you might need to take your car to an exhaust shop and have them extend ur exhaust

 

i have the same test pipe.
i have a long Tri-Y header and i had to cut my test pipe by 2-3''
you have to eliminate the center piece and then cut a little bit of the pipe.
you have to measure

 

How far apart did your exhaust measure from the header? i didn't get a measurment but it looked roughly about 5 1/2 inch. DC chases hks hi power cat...
