Default Temperature Question

I have had two clusters, and am now on my second engine (so second thermostat and etc sensor). The damn thing keeps running so cold. Everything opperts fine but, the needle fluctuates to so cold, its as if the car was off. but when at idle back to normal.

Anyone experience this, or have any thoughts?

Are you saying that the temp needle drops to the "C" when the car is moving? If so, I think it means that the thermostat is bad and it needs to be replaced. Mine used to do this as well and when I replaced my thermostat, this problem disappeared.

Yeah but two engines, means two thermostats. Seems odd that both are bad right?

Did the gauge drop instantly? That would mean an electrical problem with the sensor or wiring for the gauge. The 'true' temperature can't change instantly.

Sure seems odd, but not impossible. What you describe sure sounds like a stuck-open thermostat.
