This past weekend me and a couple of friends took our cars out on the road. We were probably averaging around 70mph the entire trip. In the 3 hours we were our riding I hit 100mph once. I noticed while driving that the temperature needle would be at C, but after letting it sit for a few minutes while taking pics, the needle would goto normal temperature. When I went driving again, the needle went back to C. Any ideas? Not sure what all info you guys would need to know to answer my question, so if you need more info let me know.

thermostat i would say.....

 

mine does the same damn thing. I hope a new thermostat will fix it. If it doesnt, what should we try then. good thing thermostats are cheap as hell

 

Yea, sounds like your thermostat is stuck open... (which is better than being stuck closed: overheat) but I would change it and everything should work fine.
