i doubt that, my buddy is prolly going to have to get his passenger side front shock rebuilt....it blew on his basics.

I have them on mine. Daily driven for about 20,000 miles since late May. I've had no problems what-so-ever. I like them alot, they are stiff but they don't go beating you to death.

the basics have a different shock than the SS.
I owned the SS, and what Kendall says is true...you really don't need to be spending that kind of cash unless you are going to be tracking it and playing with height adjustments according to the track or for corner weight balancing, and stuff of that nature.
They were a very good shock for daily driver duties, as long as you don't use them in the winter...corrosion was a problem with mine...thought the finish would be ore protective than it was.
Other than that it had a good ride and feel, could be a little stiffer for track purposes though.
If you are not going to track it, save yourself some money and go with a good shock and spring combo.

why not? a good shock and sleeve coilover will run about as much, anyway.

Just because someone wants full coil overs doesn't mean they HAVE to take it to the track. People are stupid.
Go with what you want dude, I personally have the Flex's on my gsr and I love them. It is my daily driver and hasn't seen any track events but who cares. The Basics and SS are meant for daily driving, not track only. The Flex's are borderline street/track according to Tein. For people hardcore into track events, they can run some REs or N1s made by Tein, but you don't need that **** for a DD.
I encourage anyone I know to buy some Teins, they are worth the money and I have no problem spending money on a quality product that I enjoy using every day
Anyways, the SS are ok, but I'd recommend the Flex's instead if you really wanna go low and not effect the ride at all. BTW, I can go much lower, but with my offset I'd rub way too bad.
Heres mine on Flex's

lol...I love HT and people's reading comprehension
To the original poster...yes, don't be "stupid", when you can be a jdm stunna insteadcause you know you need Tein Flex (over $1100) for your daily driver

For just daily I would get the SS/Flex. The basic suck, you can't change dampening at all. Anything higher than the Flex is too much for DD. I have the RE, and I regret everyday having them for DD. They are so stiff and uncomfortable....my back hurts everyday after driving around. Not worth it, imo, for occasional track use/ DD.

I'm not trying to be a "jdm stunna" just cause I bought some good suspension. I also didn't say anyone "needs" flex's. I bought them cause its what I ******* wanted and I don't regret it at all, its by far the best mod I've ever done, people that have Flex's will understand. The price tag doesn't bother me at all either. I gave the man my opinion from my experience with the Flex.
You don't hear me knocking your choice to put rsx seats into your integra do ya? Yeah, thats what I thought, so next time keep the lame comments to yourself

now you learn to read....listen, my comment was not on your choice, but rather the way you expressed that all people that were advising him that there are better/more affordable, (in other words better value), options he should consider are "stupid". No one told him that tein SS and Flex are only for track use, like you said above.
You bringing up my rsx seats has nothing to do with anything in this thread...it's not like I have it in my sig, so don't get all jr. high school on me, bringing up **** that has nothing to do with what we are talking.
and just for the record, I don't give a **** if you like my rsx seats in my teg or not; I didn't do it for anyone else but myself...I didn't come on here asking what people thought and if it would be a good thing for me to do
you're quite ballerific, and we're all "stupid" cause you have Tein Flex and we don't...does that make you feel better now....really man, I'm done with this thread.

Thanks for the comment. You will be pleased with the Flex's if you decide to go that route. I've had lots of suspension set ups in the past and this is by far the best I've ever had and well worth the money
