Default TDC sensor, need help!!

Heres the story, I was driving to work the other day when I made a left hand turn and my car pertty much took a "****" for lack of a better term. When I stepped on the gas to go faster it went slower, started to sputter really really bad to the point where it would not go about like 10mph and 2k. (this is a 97 hatch jdm b18b and gsr trans with less than 900 miles on the swap uning a obd1 ecu). So i pulled over, unhooked the battery, reset the ECU and drove home CEL free. I didnt have access to tools to check the code so I just went home. Yesterday it came on again after about 50 miles of driving. I checked it and got a code 8. Except this time unhooking the battery turned it off for about 1 min if even then it came back on, ran like ****, but then seemed to run fine even with the cel on. So I parked it at a buddies house. After sitting the night I drive home and now no cel and runs fine.

My timing is spot on at 16 BTDC. The car has a "miss" at idle that I posted a video on here and some said ti was normal or could be other things. Well i replaced everythign from the ecu, wires, cap, rotor, plugs, fuel filter, cleaned air filter, ran 93 octane gas, etc etc etc and its still there.

Is the TDC sensor in the dizzy? I got this dizzy from ebay cheap, so the possibility that thats bad is very possible. I need this fixed and can snag a $100 dizzy from a local honda junk yard. Should i get a new dizzy or what?
