my tach all of a sudden doesn't want to go past 6500 rpm....now my car hesitates at anything over 7000...and when i try to wire my shiftlight the tach goes completely dead...and i also hear my engine/alternator through my speakers...anyone with any ideas on these all help is greatly appreciated....this is on a ls with 404's and a chipped ecu..the car used to rev fine past 8 grand now it is doing this..thanks again for your help...

You got an ignition system on that car?

Hmm, hold that thought.

What was the last thing done to the engine? My first guess is a bad engine ground. Check the battery and all grounds under the hood.

Had problems with my tach, speedometer before. Check all your fuses.
