Check or replace all your grounds.

I had a dead tach once, and unfortunatly it wasnt fixed until I replaced the wiring harness on the engine with a newer one.

being that everything in the engine area is 2000 & from fire wall in is 96 i think thiers wires not metting up or in the wrong spot. everything else works exept the tach so i sorta rulled out grounding, but u never know.

the total cost of the conversion was about $4300 . i bought a 2000 gsr with 67000miles at a auction for $2500 i could have drove the thing home but i didnt have the keys i was pissed.( it was a hell of a deal) witht the lsd quafe & stage 3 cluch it brought the price up. to $4300

all the morot components are stock .the car runs like a champ everything works exept the tach. i wonder if the wire harness atached to the motor. & the one comming out the fire the 2 wires arnt metting up. but i dont know.
