does anyone have any switches in thier armrest console? if so, I would like some pics and what the switches do.

 

Sorry, I don't have any pix available of this, but I had a switch (for my foglights) mounted there on my '94 GS-R.

 

I mounted a switch that killed all my back lights/brake lights(dont ask) Actually they are gone now casue i blew a fuse and thught it was my wiring, so i pulled it all out just to find a blown fuse , although I mounted the switches INSIDE the center console cubby so they are stealth and dont get pressed by accident.

 

Isn't the OEM switch really expensive? Like $100 or so?

 

I put a toggle switch from radio shack in there next to the parking brake. It lets me control my antennae. I took out one of those spacer plugs (there are four of them around the parking brake), drilled a hole in the plug to accomodate teh switch, fastened the switch in there, ran the wires and put the plug and the switch back in.

Getting a switch that is the right size, and then cutting the plug (without a dremmel) was tough. I used a drill and sand paper, worked well.

 

home depot has a nice black switch that fits perfect...
