Hey everyone I’ve done some work to my integra fixing and changing how the previous owners left the disaster, I’ll get straight to it.
-they had a vtec controller box with terrible wiring I fixed.
-installed a wideband
-rebuilt motor
-installed dragon fire distributor
-installed hondata
-manual trans
fixed flywheel because they used wrong bolts and they walked off on me
okay here’s my issue it’s recent and not something I’ve been dealing with for a long time
the car surges but when it surges I lose all power for a split second then gain it again making my hondata flash red and my computer not being able to read any codes or sensors or anything.
could anyone know what it is?
I thought it was my iacv because it would make a popping noise coming out the intake manifold, i would disconnect it mid surge and it would still surge but it just wouldn’t pop any more.
the issue stopped for a bit when my brother decided to do some fuel tuning on it and turned down the iacv duty. I drove it a day or two no issues then I was looking around noticing I needed to calibrate my tps hondata was reading it 2.87 on closed throttle and 117 on wot so I adjusted it so it would read .24 closed throttle and around 101 wide open throttle, took it for a spin and it started to surge again, I have videos let me see if I can post them for you guys!
anyhelp would be nice if it helps my main relay click on and off a lot when the surging happens i can still drive while surging but really hard.


sorry now that I read this over quickly I forgot to add it’s a lsvtec obd1 (b18b1) b16a1 using the ls harness.
Also the harness has a lot of splicing.

 

Get a new main relay

Make sure you are saving all the changes you make to the tune/ base map.

Get the car tuned.
