Surface rust on cams

I bought some crower cams. But it has some surface rust on it. Nothing big.
Any good tips to remove it the safe way?

fine grit sand paper something like 500 grit perhaps

dont wanna scratch it with any sandpaper, any other suggestions

try rust removal liquid from harbor freight.

my cams had a little bit of surface rust on them. didnt do anything and threw them in as is. no scare. runs fine.

Red 3m scuff pad should get rid of the rust 500 grit would scratch the **** out of those cams
