Default stupid question/problem

i have a 94 integra LS. my problem/stupid question is that when i corner hard, my stock seatbelt doesn't hold me in place unless i pull the seat up close, but then i'll be sitting too close to the airbag. i was wondering if it was possible to put a harness in so that it can keep my skinney butt in the seat without putting in a roll cage? maybe attaching it to a C-piller bar? plz don't flame, educate. thanks.

no, dont get harnesses. if you suspect that your seatbelts are going bad, go to your local Acura dealership and request new belts. it's free of charge..

Try this, bout your seat all the way back, pull hard on the belt to make the lock enage, then slide your seat foward until the belt is tight, this is what I do when I am driving on track and it works like a charm. If it does not engage the lock when you pull hard on it, that is your problem.

well it's just that if the seatbelt was to be somewhat snug across me so i'm not flying into it when i hit the brakes hard, the seat has to be moved up,putting me too close to the air bag. i thought about bolting it to the rear seatbelt at the top, but i'm not sure if that's too safe. the seatbelt works fine, but the part that goes across your chest also has a tendensiy(sp) to come up behind my elbow almost, getting in the way when i'm shifting. any thoughts?
