Default stumped

Hey guys I have b18 that is idling rough but still gets good mpg (30) and has good power I'm losing oil and coolent but my car only smokes on startup after being run for an extended period its hard to start and smokes for a few seconds.

Compression test reveled 150-175-75-150 I'm thinking head gasket combined with valve stem seals how about you guys? I have head bolts and a full gasket kit. Other suggestions ? Ideas? Oil has never been milky and is changed every 3-3.6k

Make sure to check the head for any damage/warpage

Think that might specifically be the problem? If it is probably figure on a new head or engine correct?

No, likely the gasket but it's a good idea to check while it's apart to be sure instead of replacing the gasket only to find out the head is warped beyond the new gaskets thickness or causing premature failure of the new gasket

HG is leaking and one of your valves is bad, be it warped or burnt. All the same do a wet compression test too

If the compression test was done properly (with all plugs out) then b swapped is right about the valve, I'm not sure if rings are a factor here but the wet compression test can't hurt

Ok I'll have that done before I buy a new head so a bad valve and head gasket is what I'm taking from this compression test was done properly but wouldn't hurt to do it again
