Strut Tower Bars......
Hi,
I was wondering if any of you have RACTIVE strut tower braces. They are SIGNIFICANTLY less expensive than the DC SPORTS ones. I've always gone by the rule of "you get what you pay for". So, are the RACTIVES any good?

The DC sport strut bars suck. I'm guessing the ractive ones do too. The less expensive, most bang for the buck is the neuspeed front strut bar. It's about 80-100 bucks and has no pivot points which is
i had dc's all around on my g2,i didnt think they were all that bad! they were a bit
pricey but there wasnt much available when i bought them 4 years ago.

the reactive is the one sold by curcuit city, i tried flexing it while it was just sitting there and its not that stiff.......just like a small pipe wiht brackets on it a waste IMO

I'm not sure this makes a difference but the ones i was looking at are Toucan Industries RACTIVE......not REACTIVE
what people should focus on as far as strut tie bars is that the less flexing the bar has the more stability your car gets...
for example: dc, skunk2, neuspeed are all good bars dont get me wrong its just the design of the bar does minimize flexing like any other bar...but pay close attention to the design of the bar it has pivot points, adjustable endlinks or holes on the bar itself thus reducing the rigidity of the bar.
now there are companies out there that have strut tie bars that are single solid bars hence added stability and less flexing compared to previous bars mentioned.

If you insist on getting the lesser/non brand name one. Look into the Matrix Strut bar, it's like $50, but the stuff is pretty stiff. I was suprise at the stiffness of the Matrix strut bar and for $50, it was a good deal.
What do you guys think of the Benen 3-point front tower bar compared to the Neuspeed one??
where are you guys getting these neuspeed bars so cheap? Are they used going for around $70 or something? I search in the best buys but found nothing except for neuspeed springs and strut stuff.
