strange problem.. help!
Ok, so me and my friend went to get his integra gs-r yesterday about 6 hours away from where we live. We found out that at a certain rpm 3600 - 3900 (doesnt matter whick gear), there is a horrible vibration and loud noise. It goes way and comes back about 5 seconds later and stay for like 5 seconds. When accelerating, it is constant throughout all gears (at the same rpm).
Thanks

I had something similar happen to me when i first purchased my 95' GS-R. It was making a really loud vibrating noise when it hit about 3500+ rpms. I ended up replacing the OEM header with an aftermarket DC header and removing some of the heat shields and that took care of the problem. I havent had that noise since. Hope that helps a little
His A-pipe has taken a **** on him. It's the pipe right before the cat. It's a double wall pipe, and the innner pipe has come loose, resulting in your "vibration". All 94-99 GSR's have this problem. That's why Honda finally cured it on the 00,01 models, thus having different exhaust mani's.
You can have a reputable muffler shop weld it for ~$20, or just get a aftermarket header.
