Haha i never thought about it being the weather. I thought it was my floormats (i have those all weather ones from autozone).
But, I hate that shock! Everytime i get out of my car, I kinda tap the door real fast so the pressure from the tap overrides the shock! Haha.

its all in the weather...when its windy or slightly windy you will be shocked..or in dry weather...i just flick my door before i close it...that way i dont get startled when i go to close it. ppl ask me why i always flick my door
I was tired of getting shocked everytime I got out of the car so yesterday I closed my door by touching the glass... then I went over to my g/f and put my hands behind her back and BOOM!!! it was a crazy *** ZAP! I just started cracking up. haha. kind sad so then for the rest of the day I just took the zap so she don't have to be zapped everytime.
this is hilarious, i just noticed this the other week. so i told my girlfriend to see if it shocked her. and it did, so we were at the gas station for probably 5min. getting in and out of it laughing. right as u sit in the seat and get out and touch the top of the door *SHOCK!*.. man, this is good news, i thought my car wanted me to die or something..

I have a 2000 with leather and I get shocked sometimes. I was told it is the weather, something about it being dry and dense or some ****. I dunno. All I know is in the summer time there is no shock.

You wont get shocked if you hold onto your door frame (or anything metal) before/during getting out of your car. It's from a lack of humidity as stated above and when you slide off your seat you scrape electrons off giving yourself a charge so when you touch something w/ a nuetral charge it releases in the form of a spark.
