Default starting problems (fuel pump)

well i got a 99 integra ls with a type r swap in it and since i got it done the car wont start like it did with the ls motor in it i have to wait for the fuel pump to be on for at least 4 seconds and after it stops making the little sound i then turn the ignition all the way is and the car starts fine but if i just put the key and turn it right away in wont start untile the second time is there any way for that to be fixed and its really getiing me mad sicne my previous cars turned on right away

I had the same exact thing happen to half of mine, and my brothers cars. I've been told its was a sign of fuel pump going out, plugged injectors, or clogged fuel filter, but not certain since none of those gave out, before i sold them.
