Starting Problem -- PLEASE HELP!!!
Ok, i search many threads on starting problems but none of them have really solve my problem...i've had this problem for awhile now and can't afford to take it to the shop to get it inspected...here's the problem...awhile back i have this problem where i can't really do quick stops because when i come back to try to start up the car, it won't start. I can hear the relay click and the starter click. I receive power but car won't start. The car starts up fine if you push start it but will not start if you jump start it. I've gone through 2 oem starters and 2 aftermarket starters. I've tested all four starters, my alternator, and my battery. They are all still good.
I don't drive the car much every since I got this problem. Well now that it's a bit cold, this starting problem is happening in the morning. I ca hear the relay click and the starter click but car won't start. I still get power and everything.
Sorry for making you guys read this. PLEASE HELP!!! GREATLY APPRECIATE IT. THANKS.

i had this kind of problem last winter, but it turns out to be that i was low on fuel and my damn gas light didn't light up to tell me that i was low on gas.
Your problem is NOT the main relay. If I understand your description correctly, the starter just clicks but does not spin the engine. Is that correct?
If so, here are a few suggestions.
Did the replacement starters include a new solenoid? If not, the old one may be bad. It's job is to switch the voltage to the starter motor and engage the bendix that turns the flywheel.
Is the ground cable from the battery in good shape at the end where it connects to the engine or chassis?
Is the positive cable end that connects to the starter in good shape?
And a long shot, but maybe the ignition switch itself is bad?
