a day ago i was driving my car with no problem and the next day i tried starting it and it wont start and when it started i warm it up for a good 15 minutes then it was good! so could this be my alternator or my starter? i was thinking its my alternator cause when i have my music up my lights would dim

 

go to the parts store and have them test your alternator

 

do i just bring my car there or do i have to take it out first ?

Just take it out and bring it to a parts store most of them have bench testers for alternators. If you replace the alternator I suggest replacing battery also

 

my battery is still new its only a year old
