Default Starting Problem.

I have a 93 teg and I went out to start it this morning which resulted in a irractic clicking along with my tach jumping some but no cranking over of the motor. Anyone have a clue to what it is?

my moms ford did the same thing turned out she just needed a new battery and to change her posts hopefully its the same thing

the car wasn't getting enough power which resulted in a fast series of clicks alogn with the tach and speedometer jumping all over the place.

the lights yeah...but not sure about the radio. The lights were working for a little while until they just stopped...also here car didn't turn on only with jump starts and then the clicks started again when she tried to start it again

forgot to mention her battery posts were pretty corroded so was the battery

try to clean the posts with baking soda and water or lemon...well you get the point if that doesn't work check the battery to make sure it has power

Have any idea how the car would act if the starter plug came loose? The clicking sounds like it coming from the dash.
