Sounds like a starter issue to me. My Toyota did the same. I rebuilt the OEM starter with new contacts and no problems since. The contacts were $10.

my battery is brand new and i know its not the battery. it has full power it just clicks and doesnt turn over at all until it randomly feels like it. ill just replace the starter...but i just wish there was a defining factor to distinguish what the issue is

mine does the same thing, it only happens when the motor isnt warmed up, when i go in a gas station, come back out and start it, its fine, when i go home stay there for about 4 hours, come out to start it, the motor is too cold and it does it again, why would it be the starter?

its not the actual started motor.. its the starter solenoid.. just like any piece of electronics, they get fickle when old and exposed to the elements... lol
