Starting Issue
I have been having starting problems with my 91 Integra GS MT for over a year now. I have replaced so many parts its not even funny.. Fuel Pump, Distributor, Plugs, Wires, Computer and much more. The car will turn over just fine and not start intermittently, recently i have jumped the car after the no start and it will start and run fine, so i replaced the battery and ground cable and postive cable and terminal.. I am so stumped as to why this is happening. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks Guys!
You need to check if the problem is no spark or no fuel to narrow down a bit.
Do you hear the fuel pump prime each time you turn on the ign.?
Because the problem is intermittent it can be hard to find, for the next while when starting the car, turn ign. switch to run, [not start] and listen for the fuel pump priming the system, wait untill pump stops before turning key to start.
If at any time you do not hear the pump, turn ign. then on again untill you hear the pump.
If you run into this problem, fix or replace the PGM-FI Main Relay... http://techauto.awardspace.com/mainrelay.html

Next time the car will not start, test for power at the injectors, [wire that is the same color on all 4 injectors].
Also check for power at the distributor assembly, [black/yellow lead]. 94

You have an IM.
If you do not hear the fuel pump each and every time you turn on the ign. switch, you have a problem, most likely the PGM-FI Main Relay, the PGM-FI Main Relay also supplies power to the injectors, ECU/ECM and a few engine valve/solenoids, next time you do not hear the fuel pump, give the PGM-FI Main Relay a sharp "tap" or two, if pump starts running fix or replace the relay. 94
