Default Which Starter??

I need to know which starter to use. Car is a 90 Integra with a 98 ls motor. The tranny is a 93 ls cable tranny. The car started out as an auto and we did a 5spd swap.

We tried cranking it last night and got no spark and the starter didnt work. we are unsure if the starters are even interchangable. Question is, what starter do we use?? will a 93 manual work or do we need one to match the motor? We currently just have the auto starter because this was a issue we were totally unsure of.

The auto starter is surely not going to work since there is a circuit that keeps it from receiving power if the trans is not in P or N. Seeing as how you don't have an auto tranny anymore, you won't have that problem, as long as your wiring is correct. I would think that you need the starter off of the '93, that way it is sure to bolt up. Not sure if the clearances are the same or not, but I'm willing to bet that the '93 starter will work fine with your hybrid engine/tranny combo.
