Spring rates
The 10k/12k kits (like Omnipower) are considered performance street setups, so they should be decent in terms of ride comfort. But they will be much stiffer than stock. By the way, the 10k spring kits that Omni uses actually have spring rates of 560. The really harsh ones are his drag coilovers (18k springs - not sure about what rate that translates to).
the 12k/10k is the sport version of the omni... i will get them one day
i asked someone that had the 12k/10k setup and he said he loved them... more satisfying than his tein ha's

No, 12k,10k is not too much for daily driving. I daily on 14k, 10k. It's a very stiff, some what uncomfortable ride. But, it is daily drivable.

This is an opinionated thing...not everyone will agre with any give spring rate for the street.
I have friends that thinkmy Neuspeed springs are too harsh and their not very stiff.
If all you do is street driving and nothing else, then yes 10k or 12k springs are totaly overkill.
