I installed my H&R OE springs (well just the front right one) and I have a black washer left over, I'm exactly sure where on the shock it came from. Also the side that has the OE spring appears higher than the spring that has the stock spring. I know that it was the front spring that I installed and I know that it was the right way. Someone help. thanks

 

Just installed mine yesterday, the fronts will have an F and the rears will be labled with a R. The black washer goes on top of the collar from the shock (or just below the shock cap) if I am remembering correctly.

wait until you get them all on until you judge the height, because they will settle quite a bit once you drive around.

top washer
bushing/collar
shock base/bushing
bushing/collar
black washer
silver washer (with apex pointing down)
strut dust shield

 

Dust shield goes on top of the silver washer that sits on top of the bump stop.

 

wait till all of the springs are installed... the black bushing goes under the piece that bolts up to the car itself under the hood
