My speedometer isn't working in my integra. Swapped clusters with my friend and its not the cluster. Swapped vss with one (not sure if it was good or not) didn't work, the wires were cut going to the vss but I matched up the colors still dosnt work. It has ls vtec with p28 ecu. My vtec wont work without the speedometer working. Any ideas?

 

did you check the wires for continuity?

 

check for corrosion on(inside) the plugs on the vss and on the harness side.

 

how did u reconmect the cut wires? soldering is best..

Corrosion on pins inside plug is very common. Plug not fitting tight anymore is another. When it happened to me it was a little of both. More times than not its the plug.

 

Check the fuses I had same problem it was the spedo fuse

 

Figured it out, was just vss, guess my friend handed me wrong one to put in when we switched it before... smh... thanks anyway guys
