Special tool
I need to remove my rack and pinion and in the Chilton manual it says I need a tool 07916-SA50001 or equivalent. Does anyone know what this tool is? and what is the equivalent tool that I could use. Thanks
could you elaborate a bit on what it is you are trying to do? And what year Accord is this?
I've pulled the steering rack out of my 95 Accord and don't recall using any special tools.

I have a 1992 acura integra ls 4 door sedan and I am replacing the rack and pinion. In the Chilton book is refers to ther ack guide screw and a special tool but it looks like to me I could just use a wrench.
It's a 40mm wrench that is used in conjunction with another wrench to loosen the rack guide screw. A 2" adjustable wench or 1 1/2" box end wrench should work. Or if you just so happen to have a 40mm box end wrench laying around that is gold!
