Default speaker question

I know this doesn't belong in this forum but recieved no answer in the audio forum. Do I need to remove the whole door panel on my 96 integra to get to the door speakers or can I just remove the grill

2 or 4 door. Either way, you need to take the whole door off to do a proper install. Besides, it's just like 4 screws anyway.

Service manual shows only that you need to "gently pry" the grill off (screwdriver covered in tape) to get to and replace the speaker.

I suggest doing it the easy way 1st, then, if you still can't do what you want inside the door, take the door panel off.

It's like this: If you are replacing the speakers with something of the exact same size, then the grill will be enough. If, however, you want to put in something slightly bigger or deeper, then you'll have to remove and trim the basket, which cannot be accomplished without removing the whole door panel.

Rainamker.

takes about five minutes to do either and the doorpanel should come off to do it right and easiest anyhow. just take the panel off.

if the speaker is the same size you should be able to pop the cover off and unscrew it that way. Then carefully slide the new speaker in and tighten it up. As for the Rear speakers you have to take the panels off to get them in. Well your suppost to at least.
